Crime Prevention Coordinator
The Crime Prevention Coordinator is a Certified Texas Peace Officer whose obligation is community awareness. The Crime Prevention Coordinator oversees safety and awareness education in reference to drug prevention, identity theft prevention, and school safety. Crime Stoppers is also handled through the Crime Prevention Coordinator. Crime Stoppers is a program that is made up and funded by members of the community and it enables citizens within Rusk County to help keep its neighborhoods safe without fear of retaliation by offenders. New plans are underway, with the Crime Prevention Coordinator, and Crime Stoppers, to start new programs within the schools, assisted living communities, and neighborhoods of Rusk County.
