The Rusk County Dispatch consists of a team of Certified Dispatchers.  The Dispatch team for the Rusk County Sheriff's Office, is a group of silent heroes.  The duties of a dispatcher are to ensure that all calls to the Rusk County Sheriffs Office are handled with the integrity and the urgency that is needed for the Patrol Deputies and other officers and/or agencies, including but not limited to; Texas Highway Patrol, EMS, and local fire departments, to properly respond to said calls for the citizens of Rusk County.  The Dispatch team is responsible for dispatching all calls in reference to criminal activity, all calls necessitating emergency medical treatment, all fire calls, and to check and ensure the safety of all agencies and officers that have responded to calls, along with many other various tasks.
