The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has established the Texas DPS Sex Offender Database as the official internet source for information about criminal convictions, deferred adjudications and sex offender registrations in the state of Texas. The information contained on their site is public record.

There is also a very comprehensive website with a national database, put forth by Parents For Megan's Law, Inc. This is a national community and victim's rights organization dedicated to the prevention of childhood sexual abuse through the provision of educational, advocacy, policy and legislative support services.
